A New Family Tradition

Bring on the holidays! We spent Thanksgiving week at the beach, and my husband made a small mistake...
Instead of us heading home on Saturday, like the responsible adults we planned on being, my hubby booked us a night at a resort that has been on our list.
Game over.

The Christmas Vibes
First off, you are going to see this unbelievable sand structure when you walk in the lobby... My youngest was asleep when we got there, and somehow we didn't cross through the lobby again until we were walking to breakfast the next day. HE WAS BESIDE HIMSELF!
There are also Christmas decorations throughout the grounds, beautiful photo opps, and lots of magical things for the kiddos to see.
Best of all, is Pete's Christmas Vacation. You've seen those bars that deck themselves for Christmas right? Well what is usually Pete's Sunset Grille, turns into the most magical holiday experience (both for kids and adults). Decorations, staff dressed in theme, candy canes, festive drinks, and did I mention the decor? I seriously will come back just to experience this again.

Kid Friendly
Pretty much everywhere we turned, there where kids. We didn't have to worry about our kids being those kids, they blended right in.
They had letters for Santa set up in the lobby. Huge hit.
The koi pond on the way to our room, also huge hit.
The biggest hit? The kid's swim area. Multiple pools. Water slides. Huge hot tub. We shut it down.
On top of everything laid out to be kid friendly, the staff was so friendly. Everyone we interacted with was kind to our kids and accommodating. Kids running in front of staff pushing luggage carts? No big deal. My daughter eating her hot dog with a knife? Server didn't bat an eye...
These small things add up to one great experience when traveling with lots of little kids, and we will not forget it.

Ambiance
This sums up resort life right? For us it was the fire pits. We were traveling with family that also had young kids, so we thought rooms next to each other with fire pits would be the way to go.
It was.
Not only were there gorgeous views, they also provided blankets and smores kits.
So we did some chaotic smores (I'm thinking it will get easier as the kids get older), then put the kids down, and enjoyed a little reading by the fire.

Here is what I am thinking...
We will definitely be back, hopefully every year.
Will you be checking it out? If these are your vibes make sure to introduce yourself in the comments!

Happy Adventuring!
